The Bridge is a non-denominational Christian church. The church was planted in 2020 by a small group of believers who felt drawn to operate closer to a first century church model. Two thousand years of church tradition has created the model of church that most of us are familiar with today.
We believe that church should not be a spectator sport. We also believe that one person (pastor) or a team of people (church leadership) doesn't have all the answers. We believe that all of God's people have valuable insight given to them by the Holy Spirit to share with those around them and that the traditional church setting doesn't typically offer that kind of environment.
Don't get us wrong, we're not opposed to traditional churches, we love them! That's just not what God called us to do at The Bridge. So whether you're looking for a new place to call home or you want to stay connected to a local traditional church and gather with us on Saturdays, you're always welcome here. We are an affirming and inclusive body that accepts and values everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation/identity.

What we Believe
what to expect
God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons (The Trinity): the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God the Father is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. We believe that He is limitless in power, knowledge, wisdom, love, and holiness. We also believe that He has revealed himself as the Father of the redeemed.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the second person of the Trinity and is co-equal with the Father. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory where He sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift(s) when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.
Bible
We believe that the Bible as given to the original authors through the Holy Spirit was inerrant at that time in history. We do not believe that to be the case with the modern Bible that we hold in our hands today after two millennia of copying and translation. We do believe that next to Jesus, the Bible is the greatest gift given by God to man and that the Bible in it's entirety gives us a glimpse of the character of Jesus and points to Jesus as the savior of mankind and contains immense value as a guide to the Christian life. We believe that the Bible is "a word" of God but not "The Word" of God. Jesus is the 'Word of God' as stated in John 1:1 and we choose to worship Him, not the Bible. We encourage others to read the Bible through the lens and character of Jesus, with guidance from the Holy Spirit, and prayer.
Mankind
We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.
Salvation
The Word of God declares clearly that salvation is a free gift from God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. Salvation is brought about through personal repentance (to turn from your sin and intend to lead a new life in Christ through the Holy Spirit), belief on the Lord Jesus, and a personal acceptance of Him into one’s life as Lord and Savior. The new life in Christ includes the privileges of adoption and inheritance in the Kingdom of God’s Son. Salvation is secure in the unchanging commitment of God, who does not lie and is forever the same. Salvation should produce an active lifestyle of loving obedience and service to Jesus Christ our Savior.
Eternity
We believe that we were created by God to be eternal beings. We will either exist eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation or exist eternally separated from God by sin.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes YOU feel comfortable. God cares about your heart, not your clothes.
Worship
Worship is an act of love back to our Creator and an integral part of our gatherings. Although we don't get wrapped up in genres of worship music, you could say that it's typically contemporary.
Prayer
Prayer is a core foundation of the Christian life and that's no exception at our gatherings. You will often find us praying as a body for our community and each others needs.
Teaching
Teaching is delivered by our leadership team and can take on different forms as the Holy Spirit directs each leader. One week may be topical and the next may be based off of specific scripture. The one thing that remains consistent is participation from everyone gathered which is what really differentiates The Bridge from a traditional congregation. Everyone has the opportunity to share and discuss what the Holy Spirit has given them. Some people have described it as a mixture of church and bible study all in one.
Why Saturdays?
Because God gave us a desire to move away from a traditional church model, we knew He didn't want us to gather when everyone else did, which is typically Sunday mornings in our area. We also find ourselves living in a culture where not everyone has Sundays off work at 10 in the morning. This gives people who want to attend church regularly another option that may fit their schedule.
